Are they just NPCs or do most people really think they'll live on after death to observe the planet's future? Maybe I'm autistic, but I just can't see why the future, in general, should matter to me or anybody else alive.
But even on this board I see people posting "we should do this or that to improve things in the future" and I'm like "whatever fag" but others actually engage in the conversation as if it matters. What's going on? Can anybody here who cares about the future explain their reasoning?

Maybe I'm autistic
You're the NPC. Caring about the future of your species is an ethical standard shared by most of humanity(at least the civilized ones). All political decisions and programs, long-term planning above individual scale is about future. Psychologically, you're disconnected from shared social experience and alienated from the decision-making process, so you take a position of indifference and denial of belonging to the species. In effect you refuse to discuss future because you're resigned to be an unimportant and insignificant part of it, by your own limited worldview(that essentially reduces to "I'm an insignificant NPC that can't possibly influence anything, and why should i even care if future doesn't include me?").

Of course, I'm not talking about your own (extremely short-lived future) where obviously survival instinct would compel you to care about it. Also, don't bring your kids up, they're probably not even yours and are guaranteed to become trannies or incels anyway so don't claim them as a reason to care.

It's so painfully obvious we're talking about the future beyond your death, not the future you will "be a part of". How much of an NPC is it even possible to be? Wow, this guy.

>>3 The point isn't about having kids, its about the ideological influence on other people. If you're resign to live in your autistic crabshell, you're giving others power over your future, your society and your descendants. These "trannies and incels" exists because people didn't bother to discuss their future and resigned their influence, which was quickly taken by far-left ideologues, queers and sex-centered pickup culture. Its your choice to be a NPC.
Do you understand that your death doesn't erase your contributions and influences?
Ah so you do believe that you live on after death to observe the planet's future. Well, okay, your points have been noted. But maybe give this thread over to adults with rational viewpoints now?

NPC:Why should i care about future? When i die there isn't a point to the future, so why even bother.

>>5 Wow, you're incredibly butthurt and just lashing out blindly "NPC this, you have no power that". What is it about the OP that you find so incendiary you can't even contain your butthurt while responding?

>>11 That OP is a blatant NPC unable to comprehend that future isn't about his physical life and it doesn't magically disappear unless he observes it 24/7.

Fresh NPC texts: NPC:Why should i vote? My influence is insignificant anyway. NPC:Why should i bother about climate change? It will occur or not occur regardless of my actions. NPC:Why should i care about economy? its not like i can influence it anyway. NPC:Why should i care about philosophy? its not like i can benefit from it. NPC:I only care about eating, sex, shitting and sleeping. Anything that doesn't contribute to these activities isn't relevant to me.
>>14 There is no reason to think you would be reincarnated in the future as we define it since time doesn't exist outside of a live human's perception. Your best bet is to relive your past and hope that you have time to disentangle your negative attachments before death so that if you do get reincarnated it is into a less totally shit epoch.

>>15 I don't think there'd be anyway to track the ordering of reincarnation so you'd probably just assume it runs forward. It would be interesting if they ran in parallel though
If you reincarnated as a microbe it would be like incarnating into a different universe. Especially if you incarnated as one of those microbes that lives forever and can survive even space, heat death of universe, big crunch. Maybe that is what nirvana is, achieving reincarnation into a serene microbe that lives for eternity.
