So we can't have the secret society anymore because this place is now full of retarded /g/ros, our culture is now dead. You can go to the fields and commit seppuku there. Sayonara.

I was once against the moderation of /prog/. I never thought I would say this but I'm ok with these posters having their ability to speak removed. They have lost their privilege to share their thoughts with us. It seems they are unable to think. They can only repeat a small set of phrases like a television that plays infomercials continuously.

On /g/ the post rate is faster so to keep a thread on the front page long enough for it to start the OP will customarily bump it repeatedly with posts intended to bait posters. Here there is no worry for a thread falling down, but it is boring to make a post and not immediately gain replies. So they continue to bait and talk to themselves until they get one. They are used to the instant gratification of the image boards and aren't accustomed to the concept of a conversation lasting weeks. As a result, the end up dominating the entire board until every thread is about them.

If you ignore them they will just reply to themselves or spam slogans regardless. Recall the BSD/Gentoo spammer from old dead /prog/.

To know what threads need to get deleted we need to set some standards first, what posts should get deleted?

You just provided some good criteria. Although it's risky to delete posts like if there were no tomorrow, anything that is blatant imageboard shitposting or resembles those ``ephemeral'' posts that inflate threads without much content should be deleted.

I'd start slowly with the very obvious things like ``implying'' or any other misuse of the quote function that's popular on the imageboards. It would be sad if things like the eventual bampu pantsu were to be deleted though.

I'm in favor of bans for those that spam /g/ memes and bait the entire board into replying to them. I would prefer the bans to be temporary but I'll leave that up the admin-sama. It will reduce work on his part if the bans are long or forever.

One more thing, I would be against the removal of `>greentexting since it is not used as spam/by the spamers but more like as a joke

No, this is precisely what has fucked us over. How are you going to stop the actual imageboarders if that's pretty much the only thing they can do?
Joke? It isn't even funny.
