I was once against the moderation of /prog/. I never thought I would say this but I'm ok with these posters having their ability to speak removed. They have lost their privilege to share their thoughts with us. It seems they are unable to think. They can only repeat a small set of phrases like a television that plays infomercials continuously.
>>22On /g/ the post rate is faster so to keep a thread on the front page long enough for it to start the OP will customarily bump it repeatedly with posts intended to bait posters. Here there is no worry for a thread falling down, but it is boring to make a post and not immediately gain replies. So they continue to bait and talk to themselves until they get one. They are used to the instant gratification of the image boards and aren't accustomed to the concept of a conversation lasting weeks. As a result, the end up dominating the entire board until every thread is about them.
>>30,31If you ignore them they will just reply to themselves or spam slogans regardless. Recall the BSD/Gentoo spammer from old dead /prog/.
