The Adobe Flash of this generation

Remember how fucking awful flash was? Hindsight is 20/20 so it's easy to see how bad it was, but what do you think is the modern equivalent to flash?

.... You can make whole websites with the above, and execute code.
Even good old Docbook was vectorized, and while not many unis made websites with them, it was entirely possible.
Seriously, do a benchmark yourselves, make a website, see which one saves you time, client-server shakes, bandwidth, etc..
Voce ASCII can be vectorized, though Unicode more so.
