The Adobe Flash of this generation

Remember how fucking awful flash was? Hindsight is 20/20 so it's easy to see how bad it was, but what do you think is the modern equivalent to flash?

The issue with flash was that it was not used only for cool vector animations and games but also to create whole sites.

and now it's used for code execution when someone is dumb enough to click on a link and allow for flash to run in their browser
