/prog/rider

Name: Anonymous 2013-09-02 21:22

A /prog/rider is a mutant fungus. Originally discovered in a frozen cavern on Neptune, this white moss will typically remain docile and rarely spread to new places. Once established, the moss will attack the material along the walls and fill the area with anus jokes, fat nuggets, al salami and shalomi sandwitches, and cudders all the way down. The moss is especially attracted to paperback copies of SICP. In some rare cases, the moss's growing patterns appear to emulate conway's game of thug life. /prog/rider has a distinctive effect on animal populations, notably making snakes smile retardedly and ask passerbys if they have read their SICP today.

An area that has sustained serious damage from /prog/rider shows these distinctive characteristics, and is sometimes called a /prog/. It is unknown how many /prog/s exist. If by chance a /prog/ is encountered, personal are cautioned to minimize contact with the /prog/ and evacuate immediately. The coordinates of the /prog/ are to be transmitted to the /prog/ elimination committee so that the hazard can be safely disposed of before any injury or loss of life is sustained.

There are some image file->SJIS art automatic converters, though. You could pipe the frames to such converters.

Name: Anonymous 2013-09-03 14:21

>>17
Not like that yet, since it was doing only the line art. Nothing like libcaca or
http://ascgendotnet.jmsoftware.co.uk/
It was done manually.

No, I meant image->SJIS, not image->AA.

change "don't bump" checkbox to some sort of submit

Name: mailto:sage 2013-09-03 14:54

>>20
What do you mean? Replacing it with a textfield? I don't know if we really need that. I'd be fine if we get a blue name when we use the Don't bump checkbox.

I'd love to see them. Recall the video only used ASCII (mostly numbers)

Archiving lots, just finished with:

Do you guys really want blue names on sage?

Yes.

I really do. That's why I've been using mailto:sage as my default name field.

I could care less. I am fine with just the fact we have a textboard, that is properly moderated.

Okay. It works when you read the thread, now. I'll make it work on BBS front page, as well.

You better appreciate this, I don't even fucking know Perl. Have to figure it out as I read which with VALID PERL CODE is horrible.

Name: Anonymous 2013-09-03 16:45

>>30
First, I'll test it.

Name: Anonymous 2013-09-03 16:46

>>30
And then I'll be deeply thankful. Thank you so much, Admin-san, you've been so kind with us.

Name: Admin 2013-09-03 16:48

It's working now, isn't it? On a thread-basis, I mean. If it doesn't show up for you, CTRL+SHIFT+R, it's likely that your browser just never fetches the stylesheet again after it loads it.

Name: Anonymous 2013-09-03 16:53

>>33
I use R because of Pentadactyl.

Also, I don't know shit about Perl, but I tried looking at the code, and damn, Tablecat made Perl good. I believe he did a good job.

Name: Anonymous 2013-09-03 16:55

*made Perl look good

Not that it matters, since we're shifting to Scheme.
... we are, right?

Name: Admin 2013-09-03 17:03

>>35
Are you going to make it happen? I've got a fuckload of shit to do. On top of the fact that I also work more than 3/4 of the day as a programmer.

It'll get done, don't be antsy. When everything is sorted I'll repo it and you can all work together if you Scheme competency.

Name: Admin 2013-09-03 17:09

Sigh. If you have Scheme competency.

Name: Admin 2013-09-03 17:18

There's your blue names. Works globally now.

Name: Anonymous 2013-09-03 17:19

>>37
I'm busy too, and my Scheme competency is just enough to solve the SICP exercises, I've never tried to work on a personal project or anything of the sort.

Maybe DistBB-san or someone else will rewrite it.
