4ct decided to update from tablecat's software to the latest abortion available. It works if you access it from https://dis.4ct.org/lounge/ instead of the homepage.
lol 4ct looks like total trash, even worse than this b0rked shithole. Our reply and preview buttons might be way off center but 4ct's layout is all kinds of garbage. Still, though, we can't let those lolcow queers come here.
The Jews have been going after Andrew Anglin and other alt-right types after a Jewish man by the name of James Fields ran over a white woman in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. Censorship on the Internet is reaching heights hitherto unprecedented, but will backfire on them spectacularly for as John Gilmore once said: "The Internet interprets censorship as damage and routes around it."
>>31 You'd make for an excellent bootlicker in the former USSR.
>>32 I can't say for certain in the case of 4ct (Cloudflare is also their DDoS protection), but it wouldn't surprise me if that were the case, especially in the crazy times we're now living in. I don't particularly care for The Daily Stormer, myself; they've been at this for years and it's only when the incident in Charlottesville happened is when there was a mass purge of Websites and other things. While it's not technically the federal government of the United States doing these shutdowns, at least not directly, it sets quite a dangerous precedent and shows that even self-hosted private Websites are not allowed the freedom of expression under the First Amendment. Today it's "hate" and "racism", tomorrow it could be general criticism of the government. The slippery slope is real, never a fallacy.
We're entering into a new era of samizdat, where self-publishing is going to be increasingly tightened and controlled, if things keep up like this, there may have to be an entirely new parallel internet set up specifically for dissidents; failing that, a return to the old analog methods of distributing samizdat. Whatever happens, future developments are going to be quite interesting, that's for sure.

>>33 I guess we will see a return to the written word and less video, unless a parallel internet can somehow utilize the full speed and bandwidth of the 5G signal being introduced. Not that it really matters since the new 5G signal will also be used to correct thought patterns through microwaving undesirable brain matter so there will be no market for wrongthink.
4ct still gives me a software error every time I try to post. This reminds me of the time that world4ch was "sunsetted" only to disappear months later.

4ct deserves its being unpopular. That's what they get for spamming it everywhere.
>>54 Pretty popular among white supremacists and other rude people, sure.

>>57 When you host actual free speech, you're going to end up with content that you disagree with. Nobody would have given much of a crap about people like Anglin and the alt-right if they weren't having their sites and content massively shut down. It's like nobody has heard of the Streisand Effect.
>>58 Nigga u srs? 4ct was popular with those demographics because their admin "4ct" banned anyone who disagrees with them and/or redirected them to last measure. It had nothing to do with """""free speech."""""
>>86 In that way The site is accessible but you can't post

>>92 I remember all of them (zoklet guy and big dick george too) and I'm not liking it. It makes me aware that I have achieved nothing in the last 10 years.
But at least I have not been hit in the face with a brick in a sock.

My greatest achievement in the last ten years was traveling to Canada and serving a certain someone with a bricksock to the face.

>>92 Browse alt.slack if you want personalities. The way you put it, it sounds like this past decade in imageboards/textboards has just been us nobodies holding up namefags on a pedestal, and they're our figureheads or whatever.
Usenet doesn't really interest me beyond reading historical things, old posts and Kibo's ancient stuff.

Not at all, it was just of a moment of nostalgia and all those names came to mind. I've been having that lately.
>>99 No. That was originally located at its own domain at world4ch.org then moved to dis.4chan.org subdomain until the boards were made "frozen" in April 2014. 4ct is/was an unofficial spinoff.
>>102 Oh, yeah. Now that you mention, I actually do remember. It's just been so damn long. Wow. It's been a really long time since world4ch. Jeez, I'm getting old.
Tablecat appears down too, what's going on? Check this message I've been catching when I visit, doesn't look right......:
