Reality:
productivity suffering
unable to share files
Linux much more expensive

And besides, Linux is better for programming in general than Windows. The only kind of software development Windows is good for is .NET stuff; if you want to program in a language not supported by Botnet Studio you'll be doing it in an emulated GNU environment anyways.

More lies. I have still yet to find a compiler/interpreter that won't run on Windows, over 15+ years of concurrent Windows/Linux usage. But there are at least a dozen major compilers and IDEs that simply do not have a Linux port. Windows is better for programming (unless you're doing JavaShit/RoR webapps, in which case ann hiro).
