Literally I finished the job in one day using node and electron and the result is a modern, cross-platform app. C++ boomers BTFO.

This makes a lot of sense and there's little difference to ``native" apps which nowadays also are slow as fuck and also written in a managed language. Difference is when you use electron it looks sexy and is cross-platform. Also the juniors, women, designers, poc can work on the app. Also the dev experience is great with very fast iterations.
