Mentifex is an unskilled spammer who wrote a random string generator in forth on a TRS-80 in 1982.

In 1978 the older brother of Mentipoo bought a Tandy-RadioShack TRS-80 with Beginner's All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code (BASIC from Dartmouth) and with a cassette tape-drive, so Mentaflux started coding on it. Then in 1983 Mindmaker-fex bought a Coleco ADAM Z80-based computer also with a built-in tape drive and with later a 300-baud modem on which Mentifmaker joined local Bulletin-Board Systems (BBS) and began propagating the Memes of Mentifex.
