Europoors are getting range-banned

Turns out its cheaper to ban all of Europe than implement GPDR.
The logic is sound:
1.GPDR is designed by pencil pushers and assumes everyone can afford lawyers and extra personnel dedicated to privacy.
2.GPDR introduces significant new hurdles and costs.
3.Only applies to EU countries.

I wonder how enforceable this will be. What if tech giants simply refuse to comply?

After all, tech companies are more powerful than many governments at this point. Google, Microsoft, et al can pretty much do what they want.
