``X contributions in the last year''

Name: Anonymous 2018-04-29 18:36

I feel like some people increase the number of unnecessary commits and pull requests they make so that they can artificially inflate their GitHub contributions to make it look more appealing to employers. It's kind of like people who think number of lines of code is a good indication of how much coding you do.

You ever encountered someone who wanted you to change typos or ``gendered pronouns'' or ``offensive language'' on your open source project? I bet they can barely do a fizzbuzz, but they try to overcompensate for that by turning your ``its'' to ``it's'' or ``his'' to ``their'' because they got a gender studies degree that won't get them a software development job.

FTFY

A lot of these SJW "coder chicks" can barely count to 10 in binary... in binary! When they get called out on their incompetence, they attribute it to racism/sexism/"ableism"/etc. Certainly doesn't help the reputation of the real female programmers who just work.

Idiots.
