After reading a thread[1] on /hackerjews/ I just could feel sad, very sad, about the current state of the so called software industry: it's like all this people studied computer science only for the money! I seriously hope that /prague/ is not like that... because, you are not doing it for th money r-right guys? like, if I offer you a 250k year salary to let me insert you javashit through your rectum you wouldn't accept right?

I don't, but complexity is a factor that many language learners take into account. "Hard" languages with hundreds of inflections are definitely going to turn people away from the process, especially if they haven't learned another language before.

I was just quoting the other person's reasons for liking English, which I think are valid. I have no real preference for any language's properties, though I do prefer simplicity over complexity.
