So why prostitution is illegal?

People in charge of making laws are unwilling to offer honest and logical explanation, all they say "prostitution is amoral". They refuse to expose the real reasons behind making prostitution illegal.

Same way they are unwilling to explain why drugs are illegal, using the same "amoral" hand waving.

1.In economic terms the STD tests have costs both in time and currency, which allows non-testers outcompete the "proper prostitutes". Being illegal is cheaper.
2.Nope, it can perfectly operate and demand protection from a legal business. Think of a "Ruthless Corporation" without moral restraints and little respect of law.
3.Nope, its like saying "murder exists only where people killing is illegal", its muddying the terms:
Human trafficking is not immigration, its slavery.
4.They are cornerstone of society, without stable families fabric of society disintegrates.
