Atheism is a provably wrong religion

God is isomorphic to the "laws" of the universe. The whole universe is a function, no matter if you consider the existence of a god or not.

Atheism is actually useful, like Grey Knights in Warhammer40K*, their denial and rationalization of paranormal projects a field of "disbelief"(belief is attention and energy) that harms negative entities such as vampires - who mainly feed on emotional energy and can't manifest without attention(energy) being directed at them.
