The instinctual obsession with rivers

I can't help it but trace every river to its origin/source/etc on Google Maps.
What is this kind of autism called?
It feels like i'm doing something great.

Most country borders come along rivers. And water in rivers is frequently full of motion detectors. At least on the Russian border.

Is it true that all rivers in the world are connected via ocean so that it is actually just one large world wide river, with some ocean?
