internet "fame" delusions

Name: Anonymous 2018-12-06 16:34

one of the psychological problems with social media is how every chucklefuck with an internet connection thinks they're a fucking celebrity just because they have a small number of followers

as if 1,000 followers means anything (hint: it doesn't)

even a complete nobody like me can get numbers on twitter and IG, it's easy af and doesn't mean shit

I am still a nobody, and so are these other "social media influencers" who have delusions of grandeur

What's your point?

Internet is narcissistic

Since when is being a nobody bad? As a nobody I still have a lot of cold hard cash on hand and lots in the bank and stock market - Even with the Market tanking I get to buy low and later sell high.

Seems to me being a nobody is a good way to go

it's ok to be a nobody, but nowadays there are tons of nobodies who think they're celebrities

Thinking you a celeb when your not is more powerful than thinking your a not when you are not. It's about pride and self-respect, dude.

You say that but some of these e-celebs are making surprisingly good money just by giving the impression people should give a shit about them

Fame = money. If you're a popular person, the Putin and Trump will pay you money to advertise their cause. Basically people make money by doing nothing but LP-ing games, while you're scrubbing toilets or dying in a war.

Kodak-kun, is that you?

Don't change these.
