There is already no doubt that an ice age is underway. Watch this or die. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbVtDa3DqRQ

Just felt a slight breeze as I opened >>1-sans link.
I think you might be onto something.

Re: this whole "animals in glaciers found frozen with undigested flowers in stomach" thing. Is it real? Can the temperature really drop so fast as to flash-freeze mammals (presumably within hours depending on how digestion works idk)?

Oh wait, I guess an alternative explanation is that the area was already very cold and the animal suffered an injury or illness so when its body heat dissipated on death its recent meal was frozen before digestion. Still I hope a flash-freeze is coming, beats living.

Yes which is why we will be able to have such mammals for dinner in the future.

How the fuck are you going to eat shit when your flash frozen worse than the mammals?!

I will vacation on Mars and when I return to Earth I will defrost and eat the mammals.

Yesterday I helped land a robot to help me locate MarsQuake safe zones for my vacation resort.

As a kid i played outside in -33C, its perfectly survivable with right clothing:
The catch is you can't get wet or you get frostbite. Low humidity -30C is fine, add some humidity/water/snow and it now drastically worse, since snow may get into your clothes and melt there.
Modern water-resistant clothing will probably be okay, i guess and average american's blubber levels will insulate the body heat.

Rough guide to Ice Age enthusiasts:
People die in low temps not because of low temps themself, but because they lose heat faster than they generate it.
Factors that influence heat loss in order of priority.
1.Very fast: Water contact. Contact with metals/objects is also very bad, but they're dry usually. Falling into near-freezing water is basically a death sentence for 99% of people. Cold water above 10C is survivable, freezing water is not.

2.Fast: Wind chill. More wind = faster heat loss. Wind magnifies any flaw in your clothing to increase heat loss. Always turn face away from wind and use scarfs. Face is usually the least protected part of body. Wearing goggles and several scarfs is optimal.

3.Slow:Lack of insulation. These "cool" people in mildly cold weather who wear a few tshirts are potential Darwin award candidates who will eventually get pneumonia or frostbite.
Because without insulation, every contact with wind/water/objects magnifies heat loss.
Some people like to "look tough" bearing the cold in stupidly flimsy clothing, but they're not winning anything, just gambling that weather doesn't suddenly kill them.
General tips:
Changes in cloud cover and wind patterns create a large factor in temp range: if you're on open terrain you're open to every little influence from above.
Water sources stabilize climate - if your location is near the coast, you're protected from drastic temp drops.
Higher elevation - lower temperatures and faster wind speed. Lower elevation - higher humidity and precipitation chance.
