How to spot an NPC, online

Name: Anonymous 2018-10-20 11:45

He uses the internet for anything other than shitposting. Period.

Guess what, dipshit? People take classes online, pay bills online, work online, learn things online, get help for programming stuff online, etc.

People who spend too much time on the internet think overuse of irony and shitposting is the most defensible position, rather than being genuine and opening up and showing your true self, because that would expose you to criticism. So "haha I'm just joking all the time about everything" is a preemptive defense mechanism from insecure people.

Shitposting is dumb and so is this NPC meme.

showing your true self, because that would expose you to criticism
It would also expose you to identity theft, SWAT, privacy violations, etc.

you can never make a name for yourself if you're too much of a pussy to have an online presence

are you afraid of using linkedin, twitter, etc with your real name and photo? if so, enjoy missing out on a lot of opportunities in life

like it or not, that's just how things are nowadays

LinkedIn I understand, but Twitter? There are 0 benefits to using your real name on it. All I ever hear about is people getting fired for tweets.

Name one opportunity you got from having a Twitter presence.

I don't know, it's just a normie idea that you're supposed to use a lot of social media and use your real name and stuff. Regardless of whether you like it or not, that's just what people do nowadays.

Aren't you worried about being exposed for your ``anonymous'' banter? Image and text boards can get hacked. Your IP could be leaked. Nothing is as secure or anonymous as you think it is. In addition to IPs, there are many other ways to identify people. Yes, even Tor or VPN users.

Then what? If you try to ddos it will be you who gets put in prison. Good luck finding an identity from an IP by the way. In fact, according to whatsmyip.org, my IP is 103.208.220.136; have at it, tough guy!
