it's funny how capitalism benefits from destroying family values and turning everyone into a worker drone, but they put a spin on it and pretended that it's about empowerment rather than capitalism

Cyberpunk is by definition retrofuturistic because it reimagines the future in terms of the past(flying cars,zeppelin travel,personal jetpacks) not realizing the wider social/political changes( womyn are too empowered).

Wrong, women are often empowered in cyberpunk stories and many of them are often part of the authority while the ones that are not are either common slave citizens or work with the protagonist(s) (and are often romantic interests).
