Consider visiting Kyiv and Lvov - these are nice quiet cities. Although Kyiv still has a lot of USSR monuments, like that angry woman with the sword and USSR coat of arms (the so called Soviet Liberty).

I don't plan on leaving Brazil any time soon, but thanks for the invite.
Thing is I think I can do more here, through the internet, while enjoying the immunity of living in a jurisdiction that doesn't want me dead or arrested.
If I leave here, then there's no such guarantee anymore.

Everything is cheap

Ukraine:
Depression and poverty
Bleak, wet cold climate with harsh winters
Potatoes, pigs and turnips
Low wages and high prices(poorer than Russia)
Decaying culture that can't forget the past
Political anxiety and persecution


Who would in their sane mind visit Ukraine instead of vacation in Brazil?
