china wanted google to censor shit, and they refused, so google isn't allowed to operate in china, even though it's a huge market and they could be rolling in the dough if they complied
but I guess it goes against their SJW values, since tech companies have been co-opted by political ideologues who care more about propagandizing than profiting
it doesn't matter if governments are in favor of free speech if big tech monopolies aren't
