Have it occured to you to ponder, why would supernatural/demons/vampires/aliens/gods be so absorbed with beings supposedly so 'inferior' in form and character to them?
Is it perhaps that humans, have some unrecognized resource they lack?
Why is Earth under even 'nominal' human control?

I'm not the first human to notice, just a first human.
