Why is it that whenever I try to share a science article I get stopped by the spam filter, yet /lounge/ is filled to the brim with /pol/ nonsense?

Just tell me what you want to post? some keywords to search. don't post links. I'm expert at filters.

You have mistaken the faggot filter for a spam filter, a common misconception, but one nonetheless.

That's weird. The only time the spam filter affects me is when I try to post a new thread. If this was your post https://dis.tinychan.org/read/lounge/1507625404/41 it went through regardless. It's kinda buggy.

No, that's not my post. I wouldn't bump such a stupid thread just to inflate my ego on some random textboard. I dunno. I gues it's in poor taste regardless to spam news articles on here. It's not like anyone reads them.

I read them. That one about divining rods really got the guffaws going.

sciencealert is a spam site designed to show ads to unsuspecting surfers. Just because it has science in the url doesn't make it a valid and reliable science source.

/lounge/ has stricter standards than wikipedia???

Name: Anonymous 2017-11-26 6:14

And you have a problem with that because.....?

That was a saged post, though. I also read the science articles.

It's a good science news site, ads aside. They should adopt a donation based model instead, so they're free from any potential political and corporate influence. I'm reminded of the "Pepsigate" scandal that ScienceBlogs had years ago.

No, when /lounge/ bans you for spam, your post doesn't go through. You just get directed to a page that says you've been banned. Happened twice.

The spam trigger is buggy sometimes, you're not the first person to complain about it. It's happened to me posting things non-science related at least six or seven times now and then an hour or two later I post the same thing and it goes through fine. An inconvenience to be sure, but if it keeps massive excessive spam from flooding the board, then I'm fine with it.

I'm not, I would like to shit up this board like I did shit up w4c.

You're not what?

Don't change these.
