how many hours of my life have i wasted playing this fucking piece of shit god damn game
just so i can get world records and feel good about myself, it's a fucking joke
that's the only reason people speedrun, really
is so they can like get a world record
cause like y'know no one who speed runs is a millionaire, you know
fucking hot bitches and like doing actually important things in life
everyone who speedruns is a degenerate and getting world records is the only way they can feel good about themselves
and like how many fucking hours of my life have i wasted doing that bullshit
it's so stupid
it's fucking pathetic
all i fucking do is waste my life away trying at world records for a temporary god damn high
which will will last fuckin' a week or so until it goes away and ace exposes me for the world record shitter i am

I watch speedruns instead of playing the games themself(low effort/reward ratio), but i never thought dedicating time for it(its simply too much effort).
Just think about what tangible reward you get: concrete specific stats(e.g.amount of youtube views/comments) vs concrete specific efforts(time, concentration, calculation). Generally
all gaming is geared to produce social rewards within the game subculture(recog,fame,reputation). If we judge ourselves by peer approval we inherently follow the subcultural norms(speedruns==valuable).
Just take a hard look at what subculture you belong to and seek a way out. There is no sense to dedicating years to get five minutes of fame and become a footnote in history.
