When potatoes take over the world, how will we survive? We need some kind of auxiliary plan. I predict they will make their uprising in 2016. I'll continue monitoring them and keep you updated on their movements. I also have a few spies among their ranks. Also, make sure to eat lots of potato based food to thin their numbers. Good luck everyone. It's going to get potato soon.

The Islamic State of course has nothing to do with Islam. Also Islamic terrorism has nothing to do with Islam. And it's well known that Islam has nothing to do with Islam.

Islam is, in practice, only a set of rules aimed at encouraging cohesive communities, just like Christianity is. The average person doesn't think deeply enough to be aware of questions relating to the meaning of life and death, let alone need answers to them.

So the value of these religions is only in the way they reduce conflict and unpredictability in day to day life through everybody following a set of behavioral guidelines. Only the crazy see anything more in it, everybody else just follows along to fit in and have a smooth ride to the grave (what's beyond the grave doesn't matter).

The average Christian or Muslim would think you were a retard if you tried to discuss holy war, or heaven, or miracles. That stuff doesn't matter, people only care about the behavioral guidelines. The Islamic State terrorism is nothing to do with Islam, it is simply a political tool, and Islam (the metaphysical belief system) has nothing to do with Islam (the set of rules governing a community).

reduce conflict and unpredictability in day to day life
Promoting worldwide terrorism, murder and rape is a strange way to reduce conflict. In fact, Islam is responsible for 90% of deaths from terrorist attacks over the past decade, and 4 out of 5 largest terrorist organizations in the world are Islamist. Also, the Muslim idea of a cohesive society is to subjugate or enslave everyone who isn't a Muslim.

The average person doesn't think deeply enough to be aware of questions relating to the meaning of life and death
You're talking from your Western materialist chair. People in the East are all too able to think deeply about life and death. If not, the Sunnis and Shiites wouldn't have a 1000-year old conflict that still makes them kill each other. Hell, Europeans did it too - they killed people for not believing in immaculate conception or in the unity of the Christian Trinity, or in the Original Sin and other metaphysical deviations.

The average Christian or Muslim would think you were a retard if you tried to discuss holy war, or heaven, or miracles
Once again, you're a naive Westerner who thinks that people are the same everywhere. Muslims pray 5 times a day, on their knees, while reciting verses from their holy book about holy war, heaven and miracles. They're not thinking about bitching hot cars, D-cup tits or lucrative equities in their Mosques, you idiot. If they were, there wouldn't be so many of them willing to die for their religion.

The Islamic State terrorism is nothing to do with Islam
The Islamic State bases its policies on strict adherence to the Qur'aan. All the hangings, beheadings, attacks on moderate Muslims, rapes and slavery - all of that is explicitly ordained by the Quran. If you think the Quran has nothing to do with Islam, you are a worse troll than I thought at first.

to the unbelievers
but merciful to one another99 -- Quran 48:29

It has everything to do with the set of rules governing a community. You don't publicly throw stones into a woman until she dies or amputate a person's hand just for stealing fruit at a bazaar just for a set of rules. Muslims do all that shit not because of just some set of rules which can be questioned, but because that set of rules is based on strictest and most fervent metaphysical belief. Would you murder a random woman in the street if someone told you it's lawful? Probably not. It takes an utmost belief in divine origin of those rules to apply them without thought.

No it isn't. Ever wondered why there was ZERO Muslim terrorism in Western countries until the 90s? It's political. Muslims don't want to sped their lives at war, they want to live quietly among other Muslims. That's human nature and the reason for religion.

If not, the Sunnis and Shiites wouldn't have a 1000-year old conflict
Again, political not religious.

If they were, there wouldn't be so many of them willing to die for their religion
The West destroyed their countries and continues to do so. That's why they are ready to die.

you are a worse troll than I thought at first
The Koran, like the bible, is selectively read. The only important parts are those related to forming and maintaining a cohesive society. That was plainly stated in my original post
So the value of these religions is only in the way they reduce conflict and unpredictability in day to day life through everybody following a set of behavioral guidelines. Only the crazy see anything more in it, everybody else just follows along to fit in and have a smooth ride to the grave

No it isn't
Go read some history, and particularly pay attention to the word "dhimmi". The Middle East used to be Christian, now Christians are a persecuted minority. Islam is inherently supremacist and totalitarian.

Muslims don't want to sped their lives at war, they want to live quietly among other Muslims
Is that why the Middle East is a constant hotbed of war and insurrection? Is that why Muslims become terrorists and blow people up? I'm done talking to your utter ignorance.

Sunna and Shia are religious confessions, not political parties.

Much of Europe used to be Pagan, until Christians violently took over. Or what about the Christians' genocide of indigenous Americans? All religion, as a political tool, is inherently supremacist and totalitarian.

Is that why the Middle East is a constant hotbed of war and insurrection?
Blame the interference of the West that destroyed much of the Middle East for that.

Is that why Muslims become terrorists and blow people up?
And that.

I'm done talking to your utter ignorance.
I'm sorry you are a buttblasted nigger with no experience of Muslims.

Do unto others as you would have done unto you. Oppressive religions should be oppressed. I also think that ex-Islamic converts should be given protection and glorified in the media, because Islam ordains them to be murdered. The more people leave this violent murder cult, the better.

The west didn't have anything to do with things such as the Bangladesh genocide. Muslims are nothing more than savages.

Humans are savages. All peoples commit genocide whenever necessary. Why hate Islam instead of just embracing it for what it is: another harmless religion that keeps the plebs in line.

Anyone who thinks Sunni vs Shia is a political struggle should just look at the current Saudi vs Iran crisis. It had nothing to do with politics, only with a religious authority who was executed. Then the Iranian religious leader prophesied the downfall of the Saudis and look what happened: all the Sunni states from Bahrain to Sudan have severed diplomatic relations with Iran. This has 0 to do with politics and 100% with religion. Politicians start wars for resources and power and other rational material things, not spiritual disputes and prophesies.

harmless religion
Tell that toe people in WTC on 9/11. Tell that to the people in Paris. Tell that to the schoolgirls in Nigeria or that Paki girl who got shot for going to school. Tell that to Chinese bazaar merchants and visitors who got slashed with machetes by Uighur islamists.

Sunni vs Shia is a political struggle, in the sense that it is a battle for resources and power and other rational material things, with spiritual disputes and prophesies being but a thin veneer.

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-04 16:33

>>35
Which resources and power grabs do you think Iran is trying to make here? It's got all the oil and territory it needs, and its chances of overcoming the Sunni group are slimmer than ever (with the Syrian and Yemen allies being nearly defeated). Starting a conflict now would be totally irrational and stupid on the part of Iran, especially with the prospective sanctions lift. This has nothing to do with political struggle, this is about religion.

Because some people strive to be better than savages.

The Saudis murdered a religious preacher. Not a politician, not a family member of a politician, nor a soldier and neither a mogul. How can this be about anything other than religion?

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-05 3:04

Religion is just a label for a political, cultural, ideological and ``spiritual'' (ie. muh feelings, muh dreams, muh drug trips, muh sex orgies) system of social organization.

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-05 3:09

>>39
And it's more than that, it's not simply a system of social organization, but a system that reinforces groupthink and normie conformism.
