other boards

like /math/ and /tech/, for programming related mathematics and programming related technology

the goal would be to unclutter and enhance /prog/

if you wont, shall i do it? then youd link to it hopefully

i see no point in rehosting boards that already exist, but i see a point in complementing them

other nice boards like /newpol/ on 4ct also exist, but the community tends to get split up and not multiuse so well the many textboard sites

the textboard overchans have the onus of being forgotten and also of eventually going offline

i have an idea for offline hypertext applications, but it might take some time

but it won't be

@all
look, I'm talking of something like this

(prototype/proof-of-concept)

like you all said, and I agree, fragmenting the community further won't do, so this is the reverse movement

a "local html page" that unites boards of many different domains into one, for easy access

(This is a small part of a bigger concept I have, of running local php as proxy for editing raw html and removing googleanalytics/spyware rubbish etc, plus injecting elements, scripts, or doing whatever with a webpage.)

but for now it might work without php as a simple board aggregator, or overboard

if this is made popular, posters from other textboards will find it easier to commute from one site to the other, while having a continuous textboard experience, as if it was all one single site, and would thus decrease deadness here, and in converse we would also decrease their deadness there
