It seems the culture, art and media from the 90's are the dominant influence on modern society. Even two decades hasn't reduced their appeal, since the end of Cold War there was no lasting media that challenged the cultural norms and replaced 90's culture. Is this the sign the West is in a culture stagnation phase?

Everybody is so old these days. The next president will almost certainly be 70+ which would have been unthinkable a few decades ago. And most people in the media and government look ancient too. Are millennials simply too incompetent and entitled to take the reigns? Are they the lost generation, doomed to a life of limbo?
