Computer Illiteracy

Name: Cudder !cXCudderUE 2015-08-19 12:07

Why did society succeed in making the ability to read and write so highly desirable; while computer illiteracy is viewed as mostly acceptable, companies are continuing to dumb down software so users don't have to think, and most computer education now consists of "how to use apps" where sheeplepeople are taught how to mindlessly point and click buttons?

Because advertising would be more effective if the population was literate enough to read ads, but not if they were computer literate enough to block them.
