Legality of traps

So I have a question for ya..... if I put several deadly traps in MY OWN house, is that legal or what?? are there any laws against traps? I'm not talking about land mines (because that could send some projectiles out of my property), I was thinking like stuff for doors, floor, and windows, maybe with some spear or something..

It is illegal. The basis is that it could injure or kill a fireman, a medical doctor or a cop attempting to enter your house. If you end up killing a thief with them you could try to appeal to the supreme court and maybe win, though, but it depends on which state you live in.
