I was pondering atheism (agnostic here) and started reading about the big bang theory and it got me wondering..
The big bang theory pretty much leads up to a point where there isn't much explanation for whatever the fuck happened. It basically ends up at a singularity where we have to 'insert god here' to get any sort of resolution.
So are atheists aware of the fact that their poster child for explaining the creation of the universe is just a theory developed by a catholic to shrug off the idea that the universe might be eternal and is in fact the spark of a creative intelligence?
or am i missing something?
