When I was a boy, we didn't have entire genres of music just for programmer types. We had Green Day and we were damn grateful for it. These kids will never know what social isolation is really like, even if they have no IRL friends, because IRL is no longer the only fucking option. If we wanted to pirate a video game, we had to bring the floppy disks to school to do it.

I know right. And if we wanted to download them we'd have to leave the computer on for 3 days straight downloading from some russian site full of porn ads only to discover that file was either an virus or a demo of the game. And only if you had the massive luck to actually find such a thing on the internet.

We'd share copies of cd-rs with random Offspring and Green Day songs, only for the older kids steal or break it, and those who could do flips with their skateboard was a God among us.
