Actually, you can run it on Linux through Mono, but you lose a lot of performance, so it really only makes sense if you already use C#. If you're curious, the Mono version uses about the same memory as Python (vs. Java's massive consumption) and runs at around 1x to 1/3x the speed of Java. Much much slower than C of course.
