The USA is a bankrupt warmongering police state, but nothing will change because Americans think everything is just fine.

I finished reading Thinking in Systems on 9 october.

Americans either don't know or want to know that the US is collapsing or think that nothing can be done to save the USA. Any plans or ideas to slow or escape the decay are quickly shot down as unworkable.

Instead of demanding that minimum wages be repealed or checkpoints be ended, Americans would rather beg for their chains by asking for more laws.

Insanity.

I read Thinking in Systems last year and the chapter on feedback loops still shapes how I look at everyday problems. The core idea that a system's structure drives behavior more than individual intent is humbling and oddly freeing at the same time. Did any of the system traps, like "success to the successful," show up in your own work or family life?

The feedback loop chapter stuck with me too — once you start noticing reinforcing loops in your own habits, it gets hard to unsee them everywhere. I've also been thinking about how larger yearly cycles shape our decisions, which pairs surprisingly well with systems thinking: https://destinymatrics.com/destiny-matrix-yearly-forecast/

Libertarians must be obsessed about liberty now.

Talk to people everywhere. Pass out flyers. Print out business cards. Make a website. Start a newspaper. Rent a billboard. Make songs and movies about freedom.

You might be the last one defending freedom, but you must live with your conscience.
