There are no NPCs
Perhaps you thinks of NPCs as robotic drones, which is not the case.
Its better to visualize NPCs as faceless crowd followers without their
own agenda. A sea of sheep following their shepherd(like e.g. Christianity describing their adherents as a flock of sheep).
Sheeple in numbers are powerful, but they're just exploited as
mass movements/crowd psychology by leaders and manipulators.
A sheep is never strong. Its the mass of sheep that poses a power threat. A mass of sheep chanting their programming converts other sheep
to their cause, but non-sheep easily dismiss peer pressure and propaganda.
"Together strong", that's literally fascism, which I love
You love a particular strain of totalitarian collectivism, which
in ignorance you support until it features turn against you:
you probably have some psychological need to belong to a strong
tribe that all sheep do, in guise of patriotism and ideological alignment
with sheep-alike. Fascism is indeed very comforting until you're found
to be its victim and the mass of sheep denounce you as enemy of the state or traitor to their cause, just as the manipulators/leaders of
that "fascism" intended(they don't share their power with sheep supporting them. only use them to their benefit - you're essentially gambling on their interests temporarily aligning with yours).
