Now imagine, there is a panic, conspiracy theorists spread fearmongering. The village people will go crazy. Some leave village, running into forest and dying there to wolves. Other entering neighboring villages and spreading disease and rumors there. The snowball will be growing. City investors would close farm and lumber mill - the only employment opportunities in the village. In that case the death toll would be much higher and village could not even recover, especially when all economy gets ruined.
That is why we must spread fear and distrust, because we want Chinese society to collapse and commies to lose control, since these subhumans became too powerful. Kill the Chinese - kill the Commie!
