I burned my fingertip while cooking the other day and now it has a Blister on it. So I think that means that when you get Blisters on your feet from new shoes it is actually a burn caused by the heat generated from kinetic energy (chafing) when the shoe rubs against the skin rather than any other form of injury. This explains why new shoes are usually implicated in Blisters: the shoe material has not yet been molded to your foot shape, allowing for excessive friction from contact.
