Tie knots should be looked at as a symbolic representation of your physicality type. Essentially, there are 5 physicality types in men: extra heavy, heavy, average, thin, extra thin. If you are extra heavy, the knot in your tie knot should be extra fat say the circumference of a flat baseball (flat large grapefruit for non-Americans). If you are heavy, the tie knot should resemble, in size, a Pringle. If you are average, your tie knot should be the generic average-sized tie knot you see in B-movies. If you are thin, your tie knot should be around the size of a dime (coin for non-Americans). If you are extra thin, your tie knot should be very small indeed, slightly smaller than a lima bean.
