It's not necessarily causing anyone any harm, even if you were colonized by it it just means that the former biological homeostasis has been modified from you to you + peaceful fungi into a new and diverse symbiotic mutually beneficial relationship. Who are we to say that fungal particles do not belong in our bloodstreams, maybe they will enrich our hemoglobin.

I was under the impression that most fungi were already antibiotic-resistant? After all due to the messup that antibiotics cause to your immune system during the period that you take them it is common to accuire some fungal infestations on parts of your body (mouth, vagina, stomach, etc).

Its resistant to multiple antibiotics including antifungals. Evolution in action. Similar to MRSA except fungal spores will spread much more effectively. I don't see how they'll contain this unless they cropdust cities with massive doses of antifungals.
