True Communism has never been tried

Western leftists conviniently forget the 3year period of War Communism in Russia, a brief experiment with "True Communism" that failed so hard, Lenin started NEP(new economic program, semi-centralised market economy) to allow USSR to survive.

NEP isn't communism. It was more similar to Hitler's socialism, where state controlled large enterprises, but still allowed small scale free market.

Actually, NEP was also implemented in China by Deng Xiaoping, using soviet control method to establish a semi-centralised controlled market with economic freedoms of capitalist countries. Now China is in the "Industrialization" stage where accumulated NEP capital has been used to push rapid industrial 5-year plans to allow it the current status of economic superpower and have resources necessary to modernize the military to level of Western powers(which spend billions more on military needs).

Very wrong. The soviets didn't cede an inch of political freedom. They just exploited greed and economic competition to grow economic output when it was needed. Then they tightened the screws and milked it all for profit(industrialization).
It was also an illustration that "True Communism" is too idealistic and naive to exist in a modern society(perhaps that the only good argument for anarcho-primitivist communism).

We live in a society filled with greed.

industrialization

which was done by western capitalist companies.

Nice trick, comrade Stalin.

Most of industrialization was copying western methods and designs to reach parity without independent research.
However there was significant "western investment" from..Germany.

The Soviets encouraged Communist uprisings in Germany and saw Béla Kun briefly establish the Hungarian Soviet Republic. After the failure of these efforts, Lenin, assuming that capitalism was not going to collapse at once as he had hoped, made a major effort in the early 1920s to lure German corporations into investing in the Soviet Union as a way of modernizing the country.[11] Lenin's Germanophilia was controversial within the Bolsheviks, with many of his colleagues complaining that he went too far with his liking for all things German.[11]

Pol Pot was a genuine communist. The Khmer Rouge (real name: The Communist Party of Kampuchea) were also convinced they were ‘true’ communists in a very literal sense. In their official documents and speeches, the Party consistently pushed the line that they were ‘true’ Marxist-Leninists and that they would achieve a ‘super great leap forward’ towards their communist utopia faster and better than the USSR or The People’s Republic of China.

To do this, the CPK effectively turned Cambodia into a giant forced labour camp and abolished currency, education, capitalism and religion (among many other things). The entire population of the country was collectivised and all major urban centres were emptied, the people sent out to toil in the fields and live in strictly controlled communes.

The point is, the CPK were utterly convinced that by any measure they were implementing ‘real’ communism. This comes through, repeatedly, in reading the history of the Party and the people who controlled it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Kahn_(architect)
On May 8, 1929, through an agreement signed with Kahn by President of Amtorg Saul G. Bron, the Soviet government contracted the Albert Kahn firm to design the Stalingrad Tractor Plant, the first tractor plant in the USSR. On January 9, 1930, a second contract with Kahn was signed for his firm to become consulting architects for all industrial construction in the Soviet Union.[9]

Under these contracts, during 1929–1932, Kahn's firm operated from its headquarters in Detroit and the newly established design bureau in Moscow to train and supervise Soviet architects and engineers. The bureau Gosproektstroi was headed by Albert Kahn's younger brother, Moritz Kahn, and 25 Kahn Associatese staff were involved in Moscow in this project. They trained more than 4,000 Soviet architects and engineers; and designed 521 plants and factories[3] under the first five-year plan.[9][10]

Kahn was true communist. He helped Stalin out of pure love for workers and peasants, and it has nothing to do with Great Depression shrinking American market.

Anarcho-primitivist commies/leftists need to watch a few Cambodia Khme Rouge documentaries on youtube.
It a brutal deconstruction of "primitive communism".

New leaked KGB documents show how Russians submitted to Hitler all the Jews who were running from Europe and seeking refugee in USSR
https://www.svoboda.org/a/29704294.html

One refugee businessman even gained refugee at first by bring Stalin some money, but then given to Nazis anyway. The logic was simple, these western Jewish refugees, despite being commies, would be complaining about communist reality and will be a danger to Stalin's rule. And while Einstein was a commie, he was smart enough to seek refugee in capitalist America, instead of communist Russia. Guess communism ends when its practical application starts.
