Cultural Degeneration

Many lifestyles lead to non-reproductive dead-ends: excluding reproduction or replacing it with simulacrum activity.
Any anti-reproductive trait should lead to its own extinction - at least in theory. Why these anti-reproductive traits emerge and why they persist in the world?

That only means the affluent first-world middle-class or upper-class can afford it, and their descendants need to remain at least middle-class for their genes and cultural traits to continue.
Its a fragile and artificial system that only reliable for the elite, who both know and plan for its used. Come to think of it, non-reproductive lifestyle is easily compensated by upper-class luxuries and possibilities - such as surrogate mothers/IVF/adoption without significant expense.
Essentially anti-reproductive traits can only be sustained by elite upper-class wealth compensating reproductive ability.
