The Vaccine Controversy

Vaxxer: If you don't vaccinate you're endangering yourself and other
Anti-Vaxxer:I don't want to inject known poisons into my body
Vaxxer: You have no other choice. Vaxxer: Vaccines are safe and effective.
Vaxxer: So safe, in fact they need to be mandatory.
Vaxxer: We need herd immunity, otherwise vaccines don't work.

I wouldn't trust anything that swims in humanity collective chemical dump, but why does it(the idea that X gives you more mercury than Y) mean that this somehow makes vaccines less evil?
For example if i give you two apples both poisoned with cyanide, one with 4000mg and other with 100mg, does it make sense to eat even one apple?
