People in the west like to focus on individuals. I'm unique! Why be a part of a community when you can be a special snowflake? But because we're so individual-obsessed, we like to think that someone is clearly only mentally ill in complete isolation. It must have nothing to do with their environment or culture or western society as a whole, right? If someone is nuts, that's their problem. They must have had a perfect life and just went crazy on their own. It has nothing to do with sickness on a larger scale, right? Or so we're led to believe.
A sick society creates sick people. Western society is horribly sick. Our culture and morals are degenerating. We're trapped in the belly of this horrible machine, and the machine is bleeding to death. Many people are in poverty and/or have to deal with garbage influences from sick public education and other sick people who influence them. We are watching as the concept of the nuclear family is repeatedly attacked and broken down, which in turn is creating more sick people.
We are filling oceans with trash. We are destroying our natural environments in irreparable ways. We are using up finite resources at an accelerating rate. We are changing social norms to accept completely awful and unnatural things. College students put themselves in six figures of debt to be indoctrinated and end up becoming baristas at Starbucks making minimum wage -- useful idiots, indentured servants for decades to come. Some people have billions while others are starving to death. We wage useless wars for the sake of the military-industrial complex. We are important tons of immigrants to create a permanent underclass and drive wages down so that elites can make even more money.
Propaganda machines convince the unwashed masses that this is all for the best. Tune in. Turn on. Drop out. Let other people think for you. Give up your culture and heritage to make way for nihilistic consumerism and materialism. Change your identity to line someone's pockets. Ignore social and political issues and just watch the latest superhero movie. Keep calm and carry on. Or if you do get into politics, let the media tell you what to think. The elites know what's best. Surely nothing is wrong. It's just like a movie where the good guys win in the end, right? No. Winners, even immoral ones, write the history books. He who controls the past controls the future. He who controls the present controls the past.
A mentally ill environment creates mentally ill people. People are not lone wolves. They are a product of their upbringing. Their parents, relatives, friends, neighbors, social media mutuals, teachers, colleagues, media influences, culture, and so on. Infrastructure, crime, weather, and more also play a factor. So do gender roles, religion, etc -- or the lack thereof.
Liberals are destroying the pillars of a functioning society and then blame individuals, instead of seeing it for what it really is: degeneracy is tearing us apart. When you set a house on fire, don't be surprised when the contents inside also burn. That is what is happening in America.
But instead of reforming, or admitting to making mistakes, liberals will double down and pretend that they're still right and nothing is wrong. Things will only continue to get worse.
It's normal to be depressed or anxious when the world around you is depressing and anxiety-inducing. Crazy is the new normal. To be what used to be called normal is now considered crazy by our mentally ill compatriots.
