I have a one-and-a-half rottie mix and he's always been very energetic, as well as very anxious. He is very easily excited and doesn't respect the space of people or other dogs, so I've been trying to correct him.
The problem is that, in order for him to get in a relaxed state, he first needs to be tired. And he's never tired!
Just yesterday I took him for a 3 hour walk in the morning, then he spent the rest of the day playing with another dog (a purebreed rottie who is incredibly calm) and then at noon I took him for another 2 hours. We had some visitors and I figured he would be calm after all that activity, but as soon as he heard them coming he started running around the house and growling and barking. We took him to the yard and kept running and barking for almost the whole night, with little ten-minute pauses to take a breath.
I don't know what to do, plz help.
