>>1 Confirmed 2016:1 in 36, I'm thinking real rate of something neat 1 in 20 or 1 in 25(or 4-5% of population with Autism) is going to change society.

Autism is relative, there's no such thing as "real autism" since it's just relative to context

If current rates continue to rise.

By 2100 the autists would constitute the absolute majority of adults and 4chan would mainstream culture treasure along with memes(autists love memes).

Political parties would bow to autistic demands and scrutinize their platforms much more carefully(autists spot mistakes and inconsistences very easy).

Autistic culture will supersedes current cultures which people wouldn't even recognize today(easily forgotten pop music and entertainment of the last 10 years), with heavy memetic and in-joke character construed from decades of autistic-created content. Humor and sarcasm would be very different of course, because in autism emotional context is very different and self-centric, like an isolated civilization:its likely comedy and drama of today will be very cringey to hyperacute awareness of future culture.

People-centric professions will decline because of lack of staff: waiters, psychologists, counselors and various education position with human interaction. Probably will be replaced with AI emulating a "standard professional" .

Invest in cat food, because single autists will be majority and will have tons of pets(esp. cats, that are naturally autistic). MGTOW and fringe movements about "independence from society"(autists can't handle loss of control, emotional bonding and relationships) will explode.

There is already a huge culture shift in complexity of content in entertainment, catering to tastes of autists(you can feel it, even in mainstream culture the primitive patterns repeating and reinforcing each other in memetic fashion - the sympton is often the depth of content is severely limited and concentrates on one thing, ignoring everything else.).

Some "normie" people are already exhibiting low to moderate Aspergers(i suspect myself too), with this aloof and cold distance from humanity as social customs and habits seem more like forced drama with alienation from mainstream culture. I can feel the new "online culture" enveloping traditional media and entertainment and its going full autistic. Videogames and anime are becoming cultural juggernauts.

People tastes in music and entertainment shifted to favor more repetitive and predictable content, style and substance that doesn't tolerate much variety(either you satisfy the demands of your fans or lose the audience).

There is undercurrent for nostalgia for 80's and 90's which were last decades unspoiled by autistic culture, the whole techno-fetishistic aspect of retrogaming/retrocomputing/retro music(e.g. vinyl resurgence) are unconscious attempts to experience wildness, authenticity and variety of content. Autistic culture feels forced and artificial to normal people, as if the content was made for emotionally crippled children obsessed with something singular, a gimmick/pattern that autistic will emulate and seek(a cultural component/trope/meme-fragment).

Ok, as this is just 2018 i can see some non-autistic culture(mainly outside the western world), so its not all lost and people still have old stuff. Just the zeitgeist is changing and society is morphing towards something alien and unrecognizable each year(fads, memes, trends are amplified by Aspergers).

Real rate is 1 in 29, that means autistic hobbies and websites will get more and more popular.
