BRAIN FUCK: What is a hyperlink

A hyperlink is an entire web page worth of knowledge comprised into a single small piece of text. It's amazing how much space posting hyperlinks saves, and how much we have come to rely on them for tidy and accessible discussion. Even the most seemingly banal subject discussed online among the most cattle-like of plebs, is elevated to thoroughly-researched scholarship when one considers the magnitude of citations and information comprised within the links shared in any given online discussion. My mind was blown after realizing this. Links are our version of Egyptian hieroglyphs and are the secret to our phenomenal intelligence.

I think it's because intentionally disabling CSS doesn't do much good except break websites, while disabling things like JS are good.

I just find it easier to read.

A pure white page with black text? That will strain your eyes.
At least style it yourself with userstyles.
