Tabletop RPGs

I've noticed tabletop RPGs have unusual spells, absent from computer RPGs:
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/coreRulebook/spellLists.html
- Augury: Learns whether an action will be good or bad.
- Divination: Provides useful advice for specific proposed actions.
- CommuneM: Deity answers one yes-or-no question/level.
- Zone of Truth: Subjects within range cannot lie.
- Meld into Stone: You and your gear merge with stone.
- Plant Growth: Grows vegetation, improves crops.
- Speak with Plants: You can talk to plants and plant creatures.
- Speak with Dead: Corpse answers one question/two levels.
- Pass without Trace: One subject/level leaves no tracks.
- Tree Shape: You look exactly like a tree for 1 hour/level.
- Spider Climb: Grants ability to walk on walls and ceilings.
- Control Weather: Changes weather in local area.
Hallucinatory Terrain: Makes one type of terrain appear like another (field as forest, or the like).
- Secure Shelter: Creates sturdy cottage.
- Secret Page: Changes one page to hide its real content.
- Shrink Item: Object shrinks to one-sixteenth size.
- Suggestion: Compels a subject to follow stated course of action.

How would these spells be used in a typical play session?
