THE White House is under siege as Donald Trump faces renewed criticism over his response to a white nationalist rally in Virginia that turned deadly.
Mr Trump is being lashed from all corners, including the former leader of the Ku Klux Klan, who has accused him of betrayal.

Notorious American white supremacist Richard Spencer has told an Israeli television station that he is a “white Zionist” and consequently Israelis and Jewish people should “respect someone like me”.
According to Haaretz, he has also previously said that Jewish people insist on making Holocaust remembrance “all about their meta-narrative of suffering.”
Mr Trump, of whom Spencer is a supporter, has caused international outrage for doubling-down on his position that "both sides" were suffering the violence in Charlottesville, despite only one side having serious casualties

According to an AFP source at the scene, police used anti-riot gear and batons to prevent protesters from reaching the venue of the white nationalist rally — leading some to accuse police of defending “Nazis.”
