An Indian would be called an Indian, or if they smell better than most Indians and are less ugly than average for their race, a nigger. It would be awkward to call an Indian "Asian".
This is contrasts to the British, who call middle easterners. ``asian''. While technically true, and following in the tradition as old as the ancient Greeks, they only do it because they can't being themselves to have news headlines like ``
