She's into the theory and the lower-level technical stuff. I like that. Sticks to the essentials like C and C++. I like how's stayed away from the Rust bandwagon and seems to loath stuff like Unity. However, her portfolio of work on github is lacking in polish and scope. She needs to create a bigger project and bring it towards completion. Her NES/6502 emulator project, if made more functional and capable of playing some carts would do the trick.
Regardless, my instincts are such that I would be tempted to recommend her to the hiring manager, if she were done with university. If I were a weaker man, I would do it.
No wonder this industry is going down the drain. Not that she wouldn't be qualified for a junior position, but just imagine how many other young women who get in and aren't qualified for it, simply because they look cute.
